How come there is no sense of humor in Guild Wars players? By examples of this forum (the on topic rooms) and in-game, the typical player seems to be pissy, and the best side tends to be what I call "job-like."

Are other MMPORG players as morose as Guild Wars players? Is it just the nature of the genre? Or does the internet just attract people that can do nothing better than snipe at others, complain and generally be uninteresting and unpersonable?

Just remember that the internet is full of weedy little geek kids who have been socially excluded in real life, so lack proper communication skills and etiquette online.

You must be hanging with the wrong group of players.

Also, City Of Heroes/Villains has a very nice community.

I just hit the igore key for all those kids and people that take the game way too seriously and start swearing for no reason lol. Also, TS is hella fun if you have lively guild members

Funny story... I was doing a Divinity Coast Mission and bonus with a PUG and a Black dye dropped for me. So everyone's like "shit" "crap" and similar and we continue playing. So we finaly do the bonus (my first Divinity Coast bonus) and i'm like "nice and gj everyone"and in reply I get " f...k you" "f....king black dye" from 2 of the people. I'm like wtf?
I don't have any screens but it was just funny how they were pissed at me for no reason whatsoever. I don't care but some people out there really need to lighten up....

all i can say is my alliance members hate me and my guildys and people on my friends are probably the only ones that do. Some people dont think i take enoguh seriously

They could charge $20 a month and the same people would show up.

Its the MMO community, it doesn't have anything to do with how much they pay to play, they all have their mommas and daddys pay the amount anyway.

Have you ever seen how WoW is online? They have the 2nd worst community in all of gaming next to Halo 2 for Xbox Live...

lol so true. all games hav bad ppl in it, but warcraft imo has the worst and most since its the biggest mmorpg atm

Tell that to the older EQ veterans. Their styles and community interaction really contrast to the younger ones who just power through the levels and twink up when they could.
